How to Avoid This Year’s Holiday Weight Gain
This time of year is all about parties and having fun and unfortunately, weight gain. But I am going to explain how not to get fat over the holidays. Here are strategies I have used for many years to get through this time of year without going up a size. There’s no reason not to have a great time, but there are a few things to keep in mind that will really help keep your weight in check.
KICK ASS KETO HOLIDAY COCKTAILS
As you all know, I follow a fairly regimented nutrition and exercise plan. That being said there are certain times of the year when I allow myself special treats. HEALTHY THANKSGIVING SIDE DISHES
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love all the food but hate that bowling ball belly bloat so I try to lighten up the food. To me the bird is a secondary character and I make plenty of go alongs as the sides are my faves. There are so many to choose from and I usually make five or six (or seven or eight)! These four recipes are the ones I make every year without fail. I’m sure if I ever eliminated one of them there would be a price to pay!
HALLOWEEN HAPPINESS
Halloween Happiness starts at the beginning of October for me 🙂 That’s when I begin my countdown to one of my favorite holidays of the year. The reason I love Halloween so much is . . . you guessed it — THE CANDY!!! There are three days of the year that I allow myself all the candy I want — my birthday, Valentine’s Day and Halloween! As you know from my posts, I am extremely careful about what I eat so I do have a method to enjoying all the candy I want without packing on the pounds. There are a lot of different approaches so choose what works best for you.
