I have always loved the cold shoulder look and I think it’s currently the hottest fashion trend for women over fifty. “Cold shoulder” simply means “exposed shoulder,” a variation of the off the shoulder look. A cold shoulder garment allows you to expose just a little skin which I think is super elegant and sexy. It gives the illusion of bareness yet covers the arm. Most baby boomer women hate their arms and this look is the perfect solution!

There’s nothing sexier than the color red. Red represents passion, desire, romance, strength and love . . . the perfect recipe for a perfect Valentine’s Day. I remember the first time I decided to try the color red on my nails and lips. I loved the shade of red on my nails but the color I chose for my lips was horrendous and I looked like a clown. As you remember there were not a lot of options when it came to red lipstick — we baby boomers only had an orange-red (remember the brand Tangee?) or vampire red-purple available to us. Luckily, times have changed.

The term “athleisure” is used for a blending of both athletic and leisure clothing that many women love. This clothing is casual and comfortable and can be worn all day including at work if styled properly.
THE BEST SUMMER SHOE I EVER BOUGHT
I love shoes but I also love comfort, especially now that I am middle-aged. I always want to be fashionable but sometimes the pain I feel after wearing a pair of shoes is so unbearable I just won’t wear them again. The Banner Wedge Sandal from White Mountain is hands down the best summer shoe I ever bought. I purchased two pairs over two years ago from QVC.com — one pair is black and the other is a brushed gold. These shoes appear in lots of my posts because I wear them all the time.
