The Sunshine Blogger Award
“When you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine.” – unknown
I’ve always loved this quote but it wasn’t until I turned forty that I realized the impact these words can have on your life. When I was younger, I was always quick to see the negative side of things but at midlife I decided to turn things around and be more positive. BEST TIP EVER: WORK YOUR CALVES!
One of the best fitness tips I can give a woman over fifty is work your calves. Many women are confused as to why targeting this body part is important. The reason is working your calves is super easy and yields amazing results. When you do leg exercises and cardio your calves are definitely engaged and working, but if you add these simple moves you will see your lower legs go from plain to super sexy.

THE BEST LOW CALORIE CRUSTLESS SPINACH QUICHE
I love versatile foods that can be cooked and served in various ways. One of my favorites is quiche. It’s an old standard and many people still chuckle about it but I love it. A traditional quiche starts with a buttery crust and a filling loaded with cream, lots of cheese, and typically ham. The beauty of a quiche is that you can vary the filling to make it much healthier. You can use lots of veggies which greatly increases the nutritional value and helps to fill you up. And let’s not forget how delicious a veggie quiche can be. You can use any vegetable — asparagus, broccoli, and zucchini are popular but I much prefer spinach. But the biggest calorie and carb saver is eliminating the crust which is typically made from white flour and lots of butter.
