Clutches have always been a handbag staple but they have made a major resurgence over the last year. For women over fifty they add a current, trendy look and are great when going out because of their compact size. I especially like to wear them during the summer when I don’t want the added weight of a regular bag. Here are my four favorite cool clutches for hot summer days. I own all of these bags; the oldest is about five years old and the newest was purchased recently. I don’t spend much on them and love to pair these clutches with statement bracelets to put emphasis on the accessories.

Denim is a fashion staple and finding a jeans over fifty is no easy task. While we think this is just because we are middle-aged, the truth is younger women have the same problem. The only way to find a flattering pair of jeans is to try on a thousand pairs. There really are no shortcuts. I hate doing this as it’s physically draining, but the upside is once you find jeans you like you can buy a couple pairs to keep you for a while.

I am so happy that I finally found the perfect polish for Summer 2016. It might sound silly but since I’m a creature of habit I usually choose a different color each season and then stick to it. Sometimes I get bored and change it up but 90% of the time I stay consistent.

I am an over fifty woman who lives in workout clothing all day and I absolutely love Lululemon Pace Rival Crop leggings. I am a leggings fanatic and I have a list of criteria that must be met before I purchase new ones. My day revolves around fitness, both at the gym and at home on my computer blogging about it. I want to be comfortable but I also want to look good, not easy to accomplish when you’re a middle-aged woman.
NO MORE WINTER?
Given that the first day of spring kicked off with lousy, wintry weather including snow, I decided to get the last bit of use out of my winter favorites. Although I am a woman over fifty, I love my faux furs! I think animal prints are timeless, just like us boomer babes. And I’m wild enough to combine more than one print at the same time!
