We all need to eat. But we all have different ideas about eating that relate to our individual fitness/nutrition goals… that can be to lose a little weight, a lot of weight, eat fresh and clean, or maybe just fine-tune an already existing nutrition plan. What and how much we eat should also tie into our lifestyle.
Some of us exercise a lot, others none at all. Some of us enjoy spending time creating in the kitchen, others consider a grab-and-go protein bar the ideal meal. That’s why you will find me using both food and fuel to describe what we eat. Most of us think about eating food, but for those of us that are really into working out and nutrition we think of our food more as fuel, much like the gas we put into our cars. Either way when I need to eat just FEED ME!

I’m hungry. FEED ME!!! I gave this tip to a friend of mine and she lost 5 pounds in 1 month by doing this whenever she had the urge to snack. Using a plastic spoon (I like them because they are small and yes, you can wash and reuse over and over) take a hefty spoonful of peanut butter (I like crunchy) and top it with a squirt of canned whipped cream. Have a cup of hot coffee or tea with it. Yummy! Find a peanut butter with no added ingredients except for maybe a small pinch of salt. There are tons out there so experiment to find the one you like and always have it on hand. And of course any nut butter can be used. (If you are allergic to nuts, sunflower seed butter works great too!)
