With Valentine’s Day behind us the holiday season is officially over and the march towards summer officially begins. And you know what goes with summer ladies? That’s right — bathing suits! And for us over fifty women that can present a major challenge. Now is the time to start thinking about how we are going to get these middle aged bodies fit and in shape in time to enjoy the summer.
There are many different fitness and nutrition approaches that work well. The trick is to find a routine that works for you. Consider what, when and how you like to eat and what type of exercise regime you are willing to commit to. Both are key elements to getting an over fifty body into shape. I will be posting lots of food and fitness advice to help you, but you need to start thinking about your goals — what you really want to achieve. For some of you that means losing a little weight and toning up, for others it’s losing a lot of weight and just moving. But never lose sight that the ultimate goal should be improved health and wellness.
I want you to remember that there is no one right or perfect way to achieve weight loss and fitness. What works for me may not work for you. I have always believed that keeping things simple is the way to go. Following a plan that forbids a food you love is doomed to fail.
So follow along we me as we march towards warmer times, shedding the fat and gaining the muscles to make us look our best in the sizzling summer!
