Here are 4 beautiful dresses for women over 50. I don’t wear dresses that often but when I do I really like to glam it up. Three of these dresses I have owned for many years and the fourth I recently bought on my trip to Punta Cana. I stay away from frumpy frocks and always look for dresses that are both current and timeless and I use lots of accessories to make my look more interesting.
I bought this lace dress from Free People five years ago for my son’s high school graduation. In these pictures I paired the dress with nude wedges from Steve Madden to give a more casual vibe to the outfit. Lace dresses can be paired with both casual and dressy accessories and can be worn in every season.
I don’t usually wear prints but I fell in love with this dress when I was on vacation with my daughter. The nice thing about multi-colored dresses is that you can pair them with any color accessories and they can really compliment your skin tone. Here I’m wearing a pair of turquoise flats, a bunch of inexpensive bead bracelets and crystal colored stone earrings.
This is my favorite dress. I bought this SKY dress about seven years ago and I wear it every year. Here I am wearing it with gold accessories to highlight the beautiful gold brocade on the front. The beauty of this silhouette is that it can hide a bloated tummy but still look sexy with the low v-neck.
I bought this dress a couple of years ago from a home shopping channel. I love that you can wear this for work or a special occasion. In these photos I paired it with a pair of black classic Vince Camuto pumps and a multi-colored crystal necklace that I bought from Amazon.
I encourage you to have fun with your clothing. Step outside your comfort zone like I did with the multi-colored dress. Always purchase dresses that compliment your figure and skin tone. And play around with your accessories. There are no rules.
