I don’t know a woman over fifty who doesn’t want absolutely fabulous abs. There are many abdominal exercises and this video contains some of my favorites. Those of you who do Pilates will recognize some classic Pilates moves including the “100s.” It’s important to engage your core as you perform these exercises by pulling your stomach in tight. Try pressing your belly button to your spine to achieve the correct position.
Abs need to be worked hard and consistently. When your abs start to hurt is when they are making progress. It’s especially important to push thru that uncomfortable feeling and do as many reps of each exercise as you can. This is a tough workout but I would run through it at least 2 or 3 times to maximize your efforts. It’s also very important to remember that “abs are made in the kitchen” because eating super clean is a major factor in attaining absolutely fabulous abs over fifty.
